Final Countdown

Magic Show Evening

Rio Grande
We really have been doing a lot of work. Aside of it, there was a magic show, auf deutsch, more film evenings, and the long awaited Talent Show.

I went walking, hiking some with Nick and Tabea, behold the lovely photos.
Mein Kleine Grüne Kaktus

Nick and I slept out in the desert and were woke up to Heißluftballone

We are looking forward to a dinner at the Taos Ski Valley mayor's villa, some people are taking the Goethe Exam on wednesday. A secret ancient middle high German ritual that I cannot divulge any information about. SOME students enrolled in the supplemental cultural studies program, they are at Harry Potter 7 - 2.

I aint. I am going to do some homework.

Pizza is sounding better each day

Photos have dropped off in quality and quanity.
The second half is underway; I am enrolled for a lyric poetry theory class, as well as a teacher's seminar on the topic of children's films.

We went to see "La Boheme" last weekend, it was not bad. The two hour drive each way, oh yeah.

One more newspaper has been published. The morning of our public relations brunch the gas went out in the building, no hot showers, no hot food... Shane our chef improvised and fed us despite.

There is plenty of reading and writing to do and I am almost keeping up with it all. Time is flying, and I spend most of my time doing homework, and it there is never a shortage for me. Saturday night was our costume party--the level of resourcefulness was impressive: Alex's Marquis Posa costume used some borrowed black tights and coffee filters for elizabethian collars and cuffs, Kayla created flames from orange and yellow materials for her Los Alamos wildfire costume, Dr. High wore all black and had white tape under his collar for his priest costume. I dressed in reference to a running joke, and thus wore my running shoes.

Everyone is really excited about Talent Evening next week. Everyone.

Half #1 Draws to a Close

Class room activity "Three Penny Opera" featuring "Die Morität Mackie Messer"

It was my roommate Will's idea to turn our condo into a walk-in vocab exercise. It was my idea to take it too far.

The fire in Los Alamos made for some unusal looking sunsets.

We didn't start the fire.

Leon is almost done drawing all of the coat of arms of all the German Bundersländer.
Schiller and Goethe look on.

Professor Rindisbach drops by while searching for material for a crossbow for his Wilhelm Tell costume for the 4th of July parade.

And the long awaited 4. of July celebration.
